Paul Davis Restoration Responds Quickly Following Colorado Marshall Fire

Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Denver didn’t expect a wildfire during the winter months. So, when the Marshall Fire broke out shortly after 11:00 a.m. on December 30, 2021, in the cold, grassy fields of Boulder County, Colorado, it was a real surprise. Caused by a powerline spark and a smoldering trash fire, then fueled by drought conditions and hurricane-force winds, it became an urban firestorm killing two people and growing to become the most destructive fire in Colorado history in terms of buildings destroyed. Colorado towns of Superior and Louisville, plus unincorporated Boulder County, were all severely impacted. More than 1,080 houses burned. It is estimated that 10 times that number were affected by the fires. In Superior, flames roared to charr restaurants and stores and the many towers that dot the town’s skyline. The relatively new Element Hotel was completely destroyed. At least one shopping center burned and in less than 12 hours after igniting, the fire surpassed the 2013 Black Forest Fire as the state’s most destructive in terms of structures lost. Occurring around the Holidays, the emotional toll on residents was high, too.

The Paul Davis of Greater Denver team responded immediately and everyone pitched in to help families and business owners mitigate against further damage. Ryan Trigg, President, Paul Davis of Greater Denver, witnessed a sight during mitigation efforts he fully expected due to his teams’ spirit of service. “Our team members showed tremendous skill and compassion. Their attention to detail, process mindset, purposeful and firm leadership style, strong customer service skills, and empathy, were key to successfully helping our neighbors,“ explained Trigg. “They positively helped our neighbors who had their lives turned upside down in a time of great need. The thoughtfulness and care compelled more than one customer to express gratitude.”

Cleaning wildfire smoke and soot damaged homes was not a first for Trigg’s company. The Paul Davis Team followed proven procedures, including the detailed cleaning and vacuuming of affected surfaces, thorough sponge wipe with solutions to draw out soot and the placement of air scrubbers to remove particulates. “When we were done, many homeowners expressed disbelief at the results.”

When emergencies strike unexpectedly, some people naturally rise to the occasion. Paul Davis Restoration people are special.
